Australian rock and roll kings The Living End have finally returned – refreshed, rejuvenated and with a brand-new swagger.
Having taken a five year break, The Living End today rightfully reclaim the Australian rock throne with the release of their seventh album Shift, and a national Australian tour.
First single ‘Keep on Running’ is a powerful and deeply personal song for The Living End front-man Chris Cheney, who co-wrote the track during an emotionally turbulent period in his life. “We all have moments where life is getting the better of us, but that’s when you draw strength and come out the other side stronger,” Cheney says.
The band also recently teased the album announcement with the release of the track ‘Monkey’, which is a vintage TLE punk rock rockabilly anthem.
The Living End will be embarking on an Australian tour to support the record, playing major theatres around the country starting June 10 at The Tivoli in Brisbane. Tickets are selling extremely fast with some shows already sold out!
“The Living End seem destined to follow in the footsteps of AC/DC – doggedly releasing increasingly solid records, touring their asses off and growing louder and more impressive with every live show.” – Rolling Stone
“It will forever be impossible to get sick of watching these guys live.” – The Music Network
