Two of his friends had formed a band, and were short a bass player. His first interaction with the instrument marked the beginning of a life long fascination. “My dedication to bass stands in its compelling ability to connect rhythm and harmony. I think my addiction really began when I first truly understood music’s infinite possibilities.” In his junior year of High School Chris developed an affinity for jazz, which led him to attend Berklee College of Music where he spent two years refining his style as a bass guitarist.

Chris moved to Los Angeles in 1992. He spent three years playing in clubs and getting accustomed to the L.A. music scene. In 1995 he landed his first major gig with Alanis Morissette. In 2005 Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins formed the band The Coattail Riders. Chris was asked to join on and the band has just finished recording their second album, “Red Light Fever.” Chris started playing with guitarist Michael Landau in 2008.
